Wij nodigen u graag uit voor de opening van de tentoonstelling
'Die Wahlverwandtschaften' op vrijdag 18 oktober om 17.00 uur.

In deze Vishal ledententoonstelling hebben de kunstenaars zelf onderling naar een affiniteit met andere leden gezocht.
Hieruit zijn groepjes van drie kunstenaars ontstaan.
Waar zijn de overeenkomsten? In de inhoud, qua vorm, mentaliteit, werkwijze in techniek? Een statement bij iedere combinatie duidt de verwantschap. Alle combinaties bijeen gaan als het ware een chemische kettingreactie vormen.

Zutphen Concreet is een kunstmanifestatie in Zutphen
gedurende de maanden juni, juli en augustus 2019.
Op en in verschillende locaties in de binnenstad van Zutphen
worden beelden, schilderijen, keramiek, glasobjecten en
andere kunstwerken geëxposeerd die gemaakt zijn volgens
de gedachte van 'concrete kunst', zoals verwoord door
kunstenaar Theo van Doesburg in 1930. 

Door de curatoren Eef de Graaf en Roland de Jong Orlando
zijn 38 landelijke en internationaal werkende kunstenaars
geselecteerd om deel te nemen aan de tentoonsteling.

"Houtvaart-inspiratie" opened by Alderman Marie-Thérèse Meijs.

On the exhibition is works of nine artists. They have inspired
itself by the pool de Houtvaart at the invitation of the
Association 'Vrienden van de Houtvaart'.

Recently a ceramic object from me - by a large donation from the ceramic collection of Ms. Petra Verberne - included in the collection of the Museum Tiendschuur Tegelen.

The object is from the series, 'Double vase IX', year 2000, 43x12xh17cm, two parts.

Of the collection Petra Verberne an exhibition will be made at the museum in January 2019.

     Himba kinderen
Op deze foto staan Himba kinderen waarvoor wij nu een school voor gestart zijn.
Himba's zijn een van de weinige traditionele volken uit Kaokoland in Namibië. 
Hun ouders zijn nomadisch en hebben geen scholing gehad. Nu wil men kinderen
onderwijs laten volgen en hebben we daarom een school gestart en dit gedaan
samen met de bevolking.

More than 1300 ceramic works of art. With international and national contemporary art, of autonomous work to design for known porcelain factories.
The collection begins in 1950, runs through to 1995 and let the work and the developments of the most important Dutch and European artists.

In mijn fotowerk staat de uitstraling van mensen uit verschillende culturen centraal. Ondanks de snelle economische ontwikkeling in Aziatische landen worden eeuwenoude tradities en dagelijkse rituelen nog altijd gerespecteerd en gewaardeerd en behouden zij hun plaats in de maatschappij. En ongeacht armoede en financiële achterstand zijn hoop, vastberadenheid en inzet blijvende waarden in de samenleving. De ongelooflijke kracht hiervan is zichtbaar in de blik van de mensen. Het is deze bijna tastbare energie die ik wil laten zien. Voor deze tentoonstelling heb ik beelden geselecteerd van de mens in zijn eigen omgeving.
Om een homogeen beeld te schetsen heb ik gekozen voor Azië. Steeds heb ik geprobeerd hen niet geposeerd te fotograferen, maar het voor mij "speciale" moment vast te leggen. Dat kan een situatie geweest zijn of een bijzondere blik die mij trof. Maar ook een contrasterend straatbeeld, bizar landschap of absurd detail kunnen mij geïnspireerd hebben de foto te maken.

de kracht van het minimale.... een grenzeloos thema

De ontwikkeling van mijn keramische werk is een zoektocht binnen een door mijzelf afgebakend gebied van abstract geometrische vormen, zoals de rechthoek, cilinder, ellips en de kegelvorm. 
In de meest recente objecten laat ik een samengaan zien van deze volumes, ik stapel, schakel en kantel identieke vormen op een dusdanige wijze, dat complexe en ruimtelijke studies ontstaan. Architectuur is een van mijn inspiratie bronnen. Het kleurenpalet bestond in het verleden over het algemeen uit witten, grijzen en zwarten, later werden accenten aangebracht in felle signaalkleuren als rood en blauw. De laatste nieuwe objecten, getoond in Kunsthandel-Kruisweg68, zoals de 'Interieur'- en 'Cube Series', zijn gedecoreerd met een 'goudluster',  dat is opgebracht om het complexe illusionistische karakter van het object nog meer te versterken.

Van 14 sept. t/m 3 okt. was Wim Borst op uitnodiging in China: "Aan de slag met porselein", een artists-in-residence, Sanbao-Jingdezhen, gevolgd met een reis in China.

Het TREE ART MUSEUM is gevestigd in Song Zhuang, Beijing.  Het museum is 3200 m² groot. De bouw begon in 2010 en het opende in september 2012.
Song Shuang is bekend om zijn progressieve kunst locaties, die alleen op afspraak bezocht kunnen worden. Deze nieuwe aanwinst aan het 'kunstenaars dorp' is eigendom van de 'Chinese Contemporary Art Development Foundation" en
ontworpen door Diapu, een jonge Chinese architect, die een relatief klein ontwerpteam leidt.

The TREE ART MUSEUM is located in Song Zhuang, Beijing.  Construction of the 3200 m² building started in 2010 and opened its doors in September 2012.
As an arts colony, Song Shuang is widely-known for range of progressive art venues, which can be visited only by appointment. This new addition to the 'artist village' is owned by the  'Chinese Contemporary Art Development Foundation" and designed by Diapu, a young architect in China, who leads a comparatively small design team.

In the ancient heart of Delft in 2016 Gallery Terra celebrates its 30-year anniversary.
A highlight is the exhibition: Terra 30!

             

Simone Haak and Joke Doedens have invited artists connected with the gallery to create a multiple with a maximum sale price of 300 euros. This presented a challenge, a possibility to work outside of their usual boundaries. Those who generally make large sculptures were limited by size, and those who usually make smaller functional work had the chance to take a more generous approach. The enthusiasm and participation of a wide range of artists (37!) made it clear that this was a surprising concept. The Multiple expo goes with an accordion book with pictures of the specially-created work.

ESSENTIE
In het kader van de manifestatie Kunstlijn 2015 exposeren van
28 oktober t/m 6 december Ingrid Roos, Max Koning en Wim Borst in het
ABC Architectuurcentrum Haarlem.

Zij hebben zich gezamelijk laten inspireren en uitdagen door het thema van
de Kunstlijn 2015, te weten 'GOUD' en -naast architectuur- door het
jaarthema van het ABC, namelijk 'De Essentie'.

Het resultaat, dat in het ABC wordt getoond, varieert van 'materie schilderijen'
van Max Koning, door Wim Borst vervaardigde keramische objecten en enkele
licht/objecten van Ingrid Roos.

redacteur van het Haarlems Dagblad.

Kunstlijn Haarlem 2015

Dit jaar is de 30^e editie van de Kunstlijn Haarlem 2015.
Kunstlijn Haarlem is een begrip in Haarlem en omgeving. Het beeldende
kunstevenement trekt jaarlijks meer dan twintigduizend bezoekers.
 
In het weekend van zaterdag 31 oktober en zondag 1 november  kunt u weer
een keuze maken uit meer dan 200 locaties waar kunst te zien en te koop is.
Het werk wordt getoond in solo en groepstentoonstellingen, open ateliers galeries, 
musea en op tal van andere bijzondere locaties.

The Socieety of Friends of the Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics buys the finest modern and contemporary ceramics and loan to the Princessehof. Over the years a wonderful collection has been assembled in this way. To mark their 40th anniversary, the Friends have compiled a book that describes the history of the collection with illustrations of all their acquisitions. A selection of these acquisitions - the highlights of 40 years of collecting - is being presented together for the first time in a special exhibition.   

               

Both the exhibition and the book are titled:
          Verzamelde Vrienden ['Collected Friends'].  
The book is available in the museum shop for € 39,95

Time for Tea

Would you like to come for tea at the Princessehof this  autumn. From 6 September 2014  the Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics in Leeuwarden lays on spread with the exhibition Time For Tea. The exhibition explores various tea cultures and includes nearly 1000 objects that reveal the diversity of ceramic objects used for serving and drinking tea.
Complete tea sets, exquisite bowls and cups, unique teapots and beautiful tea caddies convey the history of tea in China, Japan, England and the Netherlands.
 

In the exhibition is a 'teapot' drawn up which has been purchased by the museum in 1987.

Afscheidstentoonstelling TOT SLOT bij Achter de Zuilen, is de laatste tentoonstelling die het huidige comité Tentoonstellingen Achter de Zuilen organiseert, in het gemeentehuis van Bloemendaal. Op zoek naar Verwante Verschillen

Ledententoonstelling De Vishal.

Opening  June 24, 16.00 h. De Vishal, Haarlem

De titel van de nieuwe tentoonstelling van de Vishal verwijst naar een tropische cycloon; een storm waarvan de windsnelheden de orkaandrempel, overschrijden.
Maar in het oog van die storm is het windstil en zonnig. Grotere verschillen zijn
bijna niet mogelijk - maar ze zijn wel aan elkaar verwant.

Met dit thema sluit De Vishal aan bij het project Haarlem Roze Stad 2012

Voor het eerste deel van de tentoonstelling zijn 24 kunstenaars uitgenodigd.
Zij vormen samen 12 duo’s. De combinaties zijn gemaakt op basis van
hun werk, werkwijze, visie of discipline. Aan de kunstenaars is gevraagd om
met elkaar in gesprek te gaan en samen werk te kiezen dat iets laat zien
over hun Verwante Verschillen.

Wim Borst gaat met Alet Pilon op zoek naar de ‘Verwante Verschillen’.

Some 50 rooms in the palace feature examples of contemporary excellence in craftsmanship –furniture, jewellery, glass and ceramics, hand-sewn fashion items and accessories –set off with examples of china and other decorative arts.

The ‘Kunstlijn Haarlem’ is an annual visual arts event which takes place during the
first weekend of November in Haarlem and the surrounding villages. There are over
200 artists exhibiting their work, in for example special exhibitions, Galleries, 
‘atelier route’ and ‘Chambres d’Amis’.

A central exhibition in Haarlem, De Vishal, Grote Markt, features work of each participating artists, and a map of all locations and events is available here as well.

admire the flower arrangements and of course enjoy the wonderful ceramics on show! There's something for everyone, from making sushi's, aikido, tea bowls,

Terra in Focus is an (inter)national ceramics festival in different venues in the historic centre of the city of Delft, The Netherlands, organized by the Delft Ceramics Promotion Foundation. The Fundamental theme of the ceramics festival is Tradition and Innovation. Various exhibitions and projects will demonstrated the most recent developments in contemporary ceramics as related to the delft core concepts: ceramics, tradition and heritage.
